Office Depot Manager, Sr. Private Brand Analytics in Boca Raton, Florida

The Sr. Manager, Private Brand Analytics is a key driver in helping ODP meet the needs of the rapid growth expectations of our private brand business. This role supports the Private Brand function in developing, analyzing and maintaining data that will drive better decisions and the optimization of sales and margin across the omni channel business. The role requires a thought leader who brings a credible, independent perspective while effectively building collaborative solutions with key stakeholders across multiple parts of the organization.

Primary Responsibility:

Private Brand Assortment Optimization:

*Develops and reviews category/sku level productivity data and makes recommendations for assortment changes to drive category performance and profitability

*Supports Brand Directors and Product Managers by conducting category deep dives, and develops category improvement plans for Private Brand

*Supports the Brand Directors and Pricing teams in developing and maintaining pricing strategies for the Private Brand portfolio to ensure optimization of revenue and margin

Channel Management:

*Manages the implementation of Private Brand growth strategies and initiatives at channel level, with a focus on driving incremental Private Brand growth via conversion online and in contract

*Supports the Brand Directors and Associate Brand Managers in developing robust communication and training plans to drive awareness of existing and new Private Brand offerings

*Collaborates with Associate Brand Managers, marketing and channel partners to ensure alignment to overarching channel strategies.

*Identifies gaps in Private Brand offering and service in the channel

Private Brand Analytics & Data Management:

*Develops and manages seasonal performance hind-sighting for Private Brand making recommendations on wins, misses, key learnings and future opportunities

*Develops Performance Scorecards to better understand the drivers of performance for Private Brand across the Contract and Direct channels, and provides Brand Directors with actionable insights

*Owns the National Brand to Private Brand assortment X-Ref files and manages ongoing maintenance and communication of the files as needed

*Ensures the appropriate measurement systems are in place to analyze the performance of cross-channel Private Brand sales activation initiatives


*Partners with key stakeholders at all levels from analyst to VP leadership

*Is a key resource for Private Brand business performance. Develops Private Brand best practices and integrates them into Office Depot's Private Brand strategic growth planning process.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors Degree, MBA preferred or equivalent work experience

Marketing, Business Administration

Minimum 3 years experience in a related field

3-5+ years experience managing strategic initiatives in the retail and/or consumer products industry, with particular emphasis on driving brand marketing, private brand, brand management, buying/merchandising. Prior experience in a multi-channel retail environment and or/ global business management a plus.

*Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Excel, Power Point and Word. Possess strong financial management and analysis skills.

*Excellent business analytics, data management and effective communication skills. Demonstrated strategic thinking capabilities including strong conceptual and analytical problem solving skills. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of corporate management. Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively across multiple work streams. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective and collaborative relationships.
